ROULSTON brothers...
The "General Hewitt" brought the brothers Joseph ROULSTON, b. 1833 and Robert James ROULSTON, b. 1838 from Ireland to south-western Victoria in 1856. Joseph ROULSTON returned to Irelandin the 1860s and later emigrated to North America. A third brother, John James ROULSTON, b. 1840 along with his wife Jane McCLINTOCK also emigrated to south-west Victoria but later in 1863.

Co Donegal, Ireland; Heywood & Henty, Victoria, Australia Robert James ROULSTON b. 1838, Co Donegal, Ireland son of Oliver ROULSTON and Catherine HUNTER was married in 1861 in Portland, Victoria to Susan BREEN, b. 1835, Co Fermanagh, Ireland, daughter of James BREEN and Anna McBRIDE. The family moved to the henty area between Merino and sandfors in 1870 and farmed a property they called "Clonleigh". Robert and and Susan were buried in the Sandford Cemetery in 1912 and 1920 respectively Robert James ROULSTON & Susan BREEN had the following known family:

Co Donegal, Ireland; Branxholme, Henty & Sandford, Victoria, Australia John James ROULSTON b. 1840, Co Donegal, Ireland son of Oliver ROULSTON and Catherine HUNTER was married c. 1862 in Ireland to Jane McCLINTOCK, b. 1845, Ireland, daughter of Joseph McCLINTOCK and Rebeckah ____. John & Jane ROULSTON emigrated to Australia on the "Royal Dane" in 1863 and their first two children were born on the Victorian goldfields with the remainder in south-west Victoria. Their farm at Henty was named "Rushfield". John and Jane ROULSTON were both buried in the Sandford Cemetery in 1935 and 1916 respectively.
