William Robert MILLER, b. 1837, Gloustershire, England, son of William MILLER and Maria GALE, was married at Church of England, Sandford, Victoria, on 26 October 1867 by the Rev F.T. Cusack Russell to Elizabeth Alice MAYER, b. 1847 at Clifton, Somerset, England, daughter of Ralph MAYER and Dianna MORGAN.

Elizabeth Alice MAYER sailed from Liverpool on the 11 July 1865 as an assisted migrant on board the "Duke of Newcastle". The ship arrived in Hobson’s Bay on 20 October 1865 and Alice MAYER was assigned to Mr Wm. Briggs of Portland as a general servant for 2 years at £16 per year.

William Robert MILLER, a Seaman, Bullock Driver and Diary Farmer, died 31 December 1907, and is buried at Merino. Elizabeth Alice MAYER died 5 June 1927, and is buried at Merino.
