Richard BEDDELL b. 1832, London, England son of Richard BEDDELL and ____ was married in 1854, Melbourne, Victoria to Ellen TYRER, b. ~1834, Adelaide, South Australia, daughter of William Henry Ormsby Little TYRER and Mary CONNOLLY.

Richard & Ellen were in the Victorian goldfields and the Wimmera district before settling on a farm at Sandford, S-W Victoria by 1867.

A number of their children died at Sandford, Victoria from diptheria.

Ellen TYRER had a sister Mary Jane PESKETT (nee TYRER) living at nearby Carapook, S-W Victoria.
