Richard BEDDELL b. 1832, London, England son of Richard BEDDELL and ____ was married in 1854, Melbourne, Victoria to Ellen TYRER, b. 1834, Adelaide, South Australia, daughter of William TYRER and Mary CONNOLLY.

Ellen TYRER had a sister Mary Jane PESKETT (nee TYRER) living at nearby Carapook.

Richard BEDDELL spent time at the Victorian Goldfields before settling on a farm near Sandford in south-west Victoria. A number of their children died at Sandford, Victoria from diptheria.
