Dugald McINTYRE b. 1840, Lochgilphead, Argyllshire, Scotland, son of Dugald McINTYRE & Mary McGILP was married in 1868 at Merino, Victoria to Ann GARDINER, b. 1849, Perthshire, Scotland, daughter of James GARDINER and Margaret TAYLOR.
The McINTYRE family arrived in Victoria in 1853 on the 'Duke of Richmond' and first settled near Hotspur before aquiring land at Merino which they called 'Laggan'.
The family lived at Merino, Nareen and then moved to Toowoomba in Queensland where they remained for a few years before returning to Merino.
