• Ballarat & District Genealogical Society Membership fees are:
  
  - Individual $25
  - Family $35
  - Overseas $25 (AUS)
  
• Fees are due on the 1st of July each year.
  
• There is a prorata rate for members who join during the year.

Membership benefits include:

• Cassettes for hire. These are talks given by our guest speakers. They date back to almost when the group was founded and so cover many and varied topics. They are available on the general Meeting night for 50 cents and to be returned the following meeting night.
  
• Interesting and very competent guest speakers covering many and varied topics.
  
• Exchange of journals with over 80 other Genealogical Groups. Any of these journals can be taken home from the General Meeting and returned at the following meeting. After a couple of months these journals are then put in the library where they remain for everyone to view.
  
• BDM hire. We have a set of BDM's that can be borrowed by members to use in their own home free of charge. Contact ph (03) 5339 6170.
  
• Collection of many and varied microfiche, books, indexes, etc., available for research and held in the Australiana Room of the Ballarat Library.
