QUINANE / RYAN
Would appreciate suggestions in finding information on Johanna QUINANE who married James RYAN at St Patricks Cathedral Ballarat 31st Jan 1881. Johanna's present and usual address was given as Ballarat, James RYAN present and usual address was given as Swan Hill. James was aged 57 and Johanna was 45. I don't know how long Johanna was in Ballarat prior to her marriage. There was no issue from this marriage. The next documentation for Johanna QUINANE is a note
from Nazareth House stating she was admitted on 22 April 1897 and she died there 27.5.1906 she was recommended by Mr McCarthy Warrnambool. Johanna is buried in Ballarat New Cemetery. I have not located James RYAN death record despite purchasing several certificates over the last 15 years. I would like to learn what she did between her marriage in 1881 to her admittance to Nazareth House in 1897.

DEDMAN / DEEDMAN / MAHER
I am researching the DEEDMAN family tree and would like to contact descendants of the following:
George DEDMAN, b 4 April 1855, Geelong Victoria, d 1933 Ballarat.
He married Mary Anne MAHER (b 1859 Bullarook, d 1929 Ballarat) on 13 December, 1888 at St Alipius RC Church Ballarat Victoria.
They raised 3 children, whose surnames were given as DEEDMAN - Margaret DEEDMAN (b 1891), George Percival DEEDMAN (b 1895 d 1981) and William DEEDMAN (b 1897) in the Ballarat area.
This part of our tree has been hard to trace due to the name change and I believe there are still DEEDMANs in the Ballarat area who share a common ancestor with me. I am in the direct line of George DEDMAN /DEEDMAN'S brother Alfred James DEDMAN, b 1853 Geelong d 1922 Geelong)

McKENZIE & McLEOD
I am researching the MCKENZIE & MCLEOD family tree. John McKENZIE was born in 1833, Poolewe, Scotland. He married Mary McLEOD 15th April, 1869 # 1965 at Cattle Station Hill via Creswick. They raised 12 children in the Underra, Gillieston, Mooroopna area, and John McKENZIE died in 1910 # 7061, Shepparton.
Three of John's brothers Alexander, Roderick and Lachlan, arrived here earlier in 1854 aboard ship "St Helena" into Sydney, and Alexander was a farmer in the Learmonth area. Is there any body else researching this family who may be able to assist with information as to when and how John McKENZIE arrived in Victoria?

WONG Children from Linton, near Ballarat
My grandfather Victor James YEAN (known as Jimmy), was born 6-Jan-1893, Monkey Valley near Linton.
Victor was the fourth child to Elizabeth GLOVER and Paw WONG of Linton who married in 1884.
Paw WONG died in 1896 and is buried in the Chinese burial ground at Linton cemetery.
Elizabeth WONG re-married William HENDERSON, 1897 at Linton. Elizabeth HENDERSON died a year later in 1898.
At age five, Jimmy was placed in his Aunt Catherine's care (Elizabeth's sister) who raised Jimmy as a YEAN.
What I don't know is what became of Jimmy's brothers and sister?
Joseph Henry, b 1885, Linton Victoria
William George, b 1889, Linton Victoria
Caroline, b 1891, Linton Victoria
There is a lot of inconsistency in the Chinese names e.g. the name PAW was sometimes recorded with an "O" instead of "A".
William George and Caroline's surname is recorded as WONG POW
Joseph Henry's surname is WONGPOW (no space)
Victor James's surname AH POW
I have no details on William Henderson other than he married Elizabeth in 1897 at Linton.
My research also suggests that at some time the WONG family were neighbours of the CHUNG family from Linton. James CHUNG is listed as witness to Paw WONG's burial in 1896. Hopefully someone may know of either or both families from Linton. Any information would be appreciated.

LACEY / FRANKCOM, England > Cobden, Vic ca 1915
I am looking for information on Angelina Eva LACEY (nee FRANKCOM) and her husband Frederick Joseph LACEY. Angelian died in 1945, age 60y and Frederick died in 1962, age 86 and both are buried in the Cobden Cemetery.
I am particularly interested in the date they arrived in Australia from England and also if they settled immediately in Cobden. From my research so far I think it would have been around 1915.
If you have any information I would be pleased to hear from you.
