The following links will provide access to some genealogical lists and databases on the web for locating individuals and families. There are so many sources that it is impossible to list all of them. Many Genealogical Societies will have their own lists of Members Interests on their webpages.

• Search Engines List - do not overlook searching for your names and places directly in many of the online search engines. This page provides links to a range of good search engines.
  
  
• Ballarat Genealogy Family Names List - visit the names list being researched by members and others in the Ballarat area.
  
  
• NSW Birth, Death & Marriage Indexes - searchable indexes for the Australian state of New South Wales. It also has an excellent links page to other BDM Registries, both within Australia and other countries, as well as lots more excellent links.
  
  
• Tasmanian Family Link Database - The Tasmanian Family Link database is designed to provide an initial online genealogical research resource. It links individuals with other members of their families living in Tasmania in the 19th Century. The information about individuals is based on records of births, deaths, and marriages and similar events, held in the Archives Office of Tasmania and the linkages have been developed by the National Heritage Foundation. • On-line Australasian Names Research Directory - This list is a collection of names being researched by family historians. By subscribing to the list you are telling other readers that you are seeking more information and/or have information to share.
  
  
• Family Search (IGI) - Ancestor Search searches: Ancestral File, International Genealogical Index, Pedigree Resource File, and Web sites. This is a huge site provided by the Mormon Church.
  
  
• Surname Lists for Great Britain by County - This page brings together links to the listings that various people are compiling of Surnames being researched in the different counties, with the names and Internet email addresses of the researchers concerned.
  
  
• Databases, Search Sites, Surname Lists - a large range of searchable databases and lists found on Cyndi's List.
  
  
• Genealogical Research Directory - The GRD is the World's largest listing of surname queries published annually in bookform, and now also on CD-ROM.
  
  
• RootsWeb - huge database which you can search or ADD your own names. Do not overlook the FAMILY TREES tab near the top of the page.
