Matthew Richard MABBITT, b. 1830 London, England, son of Matthew MABBITT and Sarah BUTCHER, emigrated to Victoria and lived in Digby as a labourer, splitter and sawyer where he married Mary Anne "Polly" BURGESS, dau of Nathaniel BURGESS and Mary BARRATT at Digby, Vic. on 23 Sep 1867.

Matthew MABBITT & Mary Ann BURGESS had the following children:
