William GOUGH (Snr) obtained the licence to the Traveller's Rest Hotel at Branxholme in 1853.

William GOUGH (Snr) held the licence to the Branxholme Hotel from 1861 to 1882 Branxholme Hotel in 1853.

William GOUGH (Jnr) was a butcher and Portland Shire President from 1887-8 and 1897-8. He also served with the Victorian Mounted Rifles for 16 years.
