Edward Thomas GIBSON b. 1854, Hobart Town, Tasmania, son of Edward GIBSON married in 1867, Victoria to Sarah Ann McDONALD b. 1847, Ovens River, Victoria, daughter of John McDONALD and Sarah Jane BROWN.

Many of the children in this family attended Digby State School in southwest Victoria from 1884 to 1893.

Edward and Sarah GIBSON are both buried in the Digby Cemetery.
