Andrew William FYFE b. 1837, Ireland, son of Johm FYFE and Margarat CRAWFORD was married on 12 Apr 1866, "Willbrook", Sandford, Victoria to Eliza EGAN b. 1844, Mt Shadwell (Mortlake), Victoria, daughter of John EGAN & Catherine BECKLEY.
Andrew FYFE was a Digby Publican in the 1870's. A compilation of district publicans from the Police Gazette, in the library at the Hamilton History Centre, lists A W Fyfe at the Woolpack Inn, Digby, in 1879. Family tradition says that he initially worked as a groom for the Hentys at Merino, then went farming near Merino and at Lower Crawford. Later he possibly had pubs at Hotspur, Elaine and Yendon.
