John SIMKIN (1828-1914) and his wife Sarah Ann WHYE (1826-1906) emigrated from Cambridgeshire, England in 1852 on the "Anne Milne". John & Sarah had a family of 5 girls - Mary Elizabeth (1854), Eliza Ann (1856), Sarah Joanna (1858), Anna Maria (1861) and Eliza Alice (1869) and they built "Cambridge Cottage" at Digby in 1882.
