Denis NASH 1835-1903 & Emily Miles SPICER 1838-1883
Ireland, South Australia, Bruk Bruk, Carapook, Victoria, & Deniliquin, NSW, Australia Denis NASH, b. 1835, Co Clare, Ireland son of Nicholas NASH and Annie McNAMARA was married in 1856 at Penola, South Australia to Emily Miles SPICER, b. 1838 Dorsetshire, England, daughter of Thomas Coombs SPICER & Emily MYLES. Denis NASH applied his signature to an 1865 letter from Bruk Bruk School (nr Carapook) seeking improved amenities for the students. Denis NASH was an original Glenelg Shire Councillor 1863-1865 which held its first meeting on December 2nd, 1863. Others present at this meeting were George CARMICHAEL, Francis HENTY, Maurice CUSSEN, Owen O'REILLY, & William TREVASKIS. The family moved to Deniliquin, NSW in the 1870s where more children were born. Emily SPICER died at Deniliquin in 1883, Denis died at Bendigo, Victoria in 1903 and both are buried at Deniliquin Cemetery, NSW. Denis NASH & Emily Miles SPICER had the following known family:
