John GILBO, b. ca 1835 Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim, Ireland, son of William GILBO & __________ married, 1854 Co Leitrim, IRL to Bridget GILCHRIST, b. c1837 Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim, IRL, dau of Bryan GILCHRIST & _______. John & Bridget GILBO emigrated to Australia in 1856 and by 1875 were living 2m NW of Carapook when John GILBO was one of the signatures to the 1875 petition aimed at establishing a new school at Carapook designed to replace an old School at Bruk Bruk.
