William Daley DAVIS, b. 1859, Melbourne, Victoria son of William Love DAVIS and Elizabeth JOHNSON (sister of Abraham JOHNSON) was married in 1895 to Ellen Barclay MURRAY, b. 1863 Hamilton Victoria, daughter of John MURRAY & Christina HUTCHESON.

William Daley DAVIS selected land at Carapook in the 1880s and his property was known as "The Gums". Descendants still farm at Carapook.
