VIGAR, Caroline Peel Street, Ballarat Caroline VIGAR (nee DODEMEAD) was born to George DODEMEAD and Charlotte (GROVES) abt. 1824. She married James VIGAR. They had six children Mary Ellen (ROBBINS) abt. 1853-1939, Mary Ann (MCADAM) 1854-1924, John Henry Charles 1856-1857, Jane 1858, Agnes 1860. Caroline died Ligar Street aged 78 years and was buried 14.05.1902 and James died Ligar Street aged 76 years and was buried 21.07.1899. They are buried together in Ballarat New Cemetery. Their headstone – Vigar/James Vigar/ d 20 July 1899, 76 years/wife Caroline/ d 12 May 1902, 80 years/ Erected by daughters/ G.S. McAdam/ killed in action, France 30 Aug 1918, 29 years. (G.S. McAdam was Mary Ann’s husband)
