Their children – Evelyn Edith ~1854-1926, Hans William Henry 1856, Donald John 1861, Elizabeth Emily 1863-1902, Arthur Hamilton 1867 and Charlotte Jane 1869. Mary Field died Ballarat aged 70 years and was buried in Ballarat New Cemetery on 05.12.1899. Headstone – Irvine/Opie/ Mary Field Irvine/beloved wife of J.W.H. Irvine/who passed away 4 Dec. 1899/ aged 70 years/also Elizabeth Emily Irvine/who passes away 16 Feb. 1902/ Evelyn Edith Opie/d. 30 July 1926. (updated July 2009)
