ELLERY, E J Bond Street, Ballarat Eliza Jane ELLERY (nee NETTELL) was born abt. 1829 to Edward Nettell possibly in Cornwell, Eng. Her mother’s name is unknown. Her husband was James ELLERY a miner from Cornwall. They lived at 98 Bond Street, Ballarat. Eliza died at 73 Lyon Street, Ballarat 13.07.1902 and was buried with her daughter Lucy Marie Palmer in the Ballarat Old Cemetery on 31. 07.1902. Their children – Eliza Jane (Kerr) abt. 1854-1940, Elizabeth 1855-1860, John 1858-1911, William 1860-1860, Elizabeth Matilda (Partridge) 1861-1948, Alice Nettell 1863-1940 and Lucy Maria (Palmer) 1865-1888. James aged 47 years was buried 16.04.1867 in Ballarat Old Cemetery. The children William and Elizabeth are also buried in Ballarat Old Cemetery. (updated 3 Feb 2010)

He had two children – Clement Guilleaume 1864-1865 and Violet Elizabeth 1865. Clement died aged 60 years and is buried Ballarat New Cemetery 26.07.1893. EVANS, Lily M 99 Raglan Street, Ballarat South Lily Maud EVANS was born at Ballarat 1870 to Robert EVANS and Elizabeth (DAVIES). She married William Neirn HINDHAUGH IN 1897. They had three children – William Jacob 1898-1978, Marion May (Chapman) 1900-1921, Dorothy 1902-1978. Lily Maud died Camperdown 1910 aged 36 years. William Nairn died 1952 at Murrumbeena.

EWINS, Mrs E 102 Dawson Street, Ballarat Elizabeth EWINS was born to James EWINS and Elizabeth BOLSTER abt.1845. She married Josiah EWINS IN 1867. Their children – Samuel Daniel 1868-1869, Alfred Edwin 1870-1952, Rose Emily 1871-1927, Arthur 1873-1875, Herbert Russell 1874-1950, Elizabeth Marion 1876-1948, Edith Maria 1879-1973, James Arthur 1880-1952, Beatrice Helena 1882-1965, Cecil Frank 1885-1886, and Harold Leslie 1888-1888. Elizabeth died aged 80 years and was buried Old Cemetery on 19.02.1925. Josiah died aged 84 years and was buried with Elizabeth on 04.05.1926. Their daughters Beatrice and Rose are also buried with them.
